Welcome to Quincy

The eighth largest city in Massachusetts, Quincy is known as the “City of Presidents,” given it was the birthplace of President John Adams (2nd President of the United States) and his son, President John Quincy Adams (6th President of the United States), as well as John Hancock, the first signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Seven miles from Boston, Quincy is considered an extension of the city. Quincy Center has been bustling with a massive redevelopment project featuring new condos, business offices, retail spaces, and restaurants. In the works, is the much-anticipated medical center development joining two world-class institutions, South Shore Health Systems, and Brigham Health. This project will certainly bring economic growth and new opportunities to the community.

With 27 miles of coastline and great beaches, Quincy has some of the most spectacular waterfront communities in Boston: Marina Bay offers luxury waterfront condos, Wollaston Beach charming seaside cottages, Squantum Bay ocean front million-dollar mansions, and Hough’s neck quaint, seaside retreats. Connected by a short causeway, lies one of Quincy’s secret gems, Nut Island Park. As part of the Boston Harbor Island National Recreation area, Nut Island Park offers spectacular Boston views, amazing fishing, and other outdoor recreational activities.

A culturally rich and diverse community, Quincy hosts many festivals and community events such as PorchFest Quincy sponsoring free annual music events, Pageant’s Field hosting local farmer markets, and the Annual Food Truck & Music Festival serving up ethnic, culinary delights to the sounds of local beats.

One of the most attractive reasons to live in Quincy is its fast, convenient commute into downtown Boston. With four MBTA Red Line stations, numerous bus lines, and easy access to Route 93, 3, and 128, Quincy is a commuter’s dream. Home to a diverse population, this community is on the move and welcomes all to be part of its future growth and expansion.
